Position Overview 

Arizona Building Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced, detail-driven Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for residential renovation and construction and commercial tenant improvement projects. 

This role requires comfort estimating projects where drawings may be incomplete, existing conditions vary, and field verification is critical to pricing accuracy. 

Preconstruction & Estimating 

• Prepare thorough, defensible project estimates aligned with project intent Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs 
• Develop clear, complete scopes of work 
• Create preliminary Gantt-style schedules 

Preconstruction Risk & Feasibility 

• Identify constructability risks, access constraints, and renovation-specific challenges
• Flag scope gaps and sequencing issues prior to execution 
• Recommend clarifications or allowances to reduce change orders 

Plan & Scope Review 

• Review drawings for completeness and conflicts 
• Draft RFIs during estimating 
• Resolve scope issues before pricing is finalized 

Trade Partner Coordination 

• Issue bid requests with defined scopes 
• Review subcontractor proposals line by line for scope, exclusions, and completeness
• Level bids for internal review

Site Visits & Coordination 

• Conduct site walks and pre-bid meetings 
• Assess access, logistics, and existing conditions 
• Support handoff to project management 

Required Qualifications 

• Verifiable estimating experience 
• Strong renovation construction knowledge 
• Ability to manage multiple estimates 
• Construction Management & Estimating Software Experience 

Applicants will complete a practicum-style estimating exercise reflecting real-world responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits 

$85,000 - $105,000 annually
